Too Much Information: From the Beginning

My first post! Which leads nicely to our first project in second year; 'Too Much Information' This brief was given to us at the end of our first year (nearly 15 weeks ago) and over the summer we were asked to collect different types of information. Combining this information with a range of medias, as well as primary and secondary research, we had to produce a sketch book. From this research we were to produce two A3 visual sheets, which would then be used to create a repeat pattern. The information I collected ranged from bus and train tickets, to comic strips and action bubbles! During the process of collecting primary research, I realised how much information is around us what we take for granted, and how much we actually rely upon it. Unfortunately, with this project been set over the summer, most of us had little to show on our first week back at college, which meant a lot of catching up to be done by all of us. Time management had gone out of the window so to speak, so it was time to settle back into the old routine and knuckle down. After a stressful first few weeks back, I'm glad to say that most of my sketch book is up to date and along with the rest of my work, is on track to be ready for the hand in day next Friday.
